President Barack Obama's First Year in Office

Alain L. Sanders, lecturer of political science at Saint Peter's College, shares his thoughts on the first year of President Barack Obama's administration. Mr. Sanders provides some historical context for the administration, and suggests President Obama's role is that of facilitator-in-chief, rather than director-in-chief. Mr. Sanders was a senior reporter for TIME Magazine and a journalist for over twenty years before joining the faculty at the College. He continues to publish articles addressing political issues and provide expert topical analysis for media outlets.
