2010 Citizens Bank MAAC Basketball Championships Send-off!

 The Saint Peter's College men's and women's basketball teams are heading to the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. this week to compete in the 2010 Citizens Bank MAAC Basketball Championships! The College rallied on Tuesday for a festive send-off with many supporters, including the athletic trustee community. The Peahens (11-18, 7-11 MAAC) finished the season in eighth place and will take on ninth place Canisius on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in a MAAC First Round game. If victory is achieved on Thursday, the Peahens will face top-seeded Marist on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The Peahens game on Thursday can be seen live on www.maacsports.com.

The Peacocks (16-13, 11-7 MAAC) enter the tournament as the fourth seed with a first round bye. Their first contest will be a quarterfinal match-up with fifth ranked Rider on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. A win in this game will push the Peacocks to a semifinal game at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday against an opponent to be determined.
