Memorial Day Concert

The ISO Symphonic Band, under the direction of founder Brian Worsdale, has helped continue the tradition began by the Goldman Memorial Band and the Band of Long Island by performing a free concert on Memorial Day. Musical selections include Bernstein, Ebb and Gottschalk, as well as music fitting for a Memorial Day Concert.

The ISO Symphonic Band will be joined by The Brooklyn Youth Chorus, founded and directed by Dianne Berkun, and by piano soloist James Adler, performing Gottschalk's "Grand Tarantelle." James Adler also serves as an adjunct lecturer in fine arts at Saint Peter's College.

Admission is free; donations are accepted for the GreenWood Historic Fund. The concert will be held Monday, May 31, 2010, from 2:30 - 5:00 p.m., at 500 25th Street in Brooklyn, New York. For more information, please contact: jadler@spc.edu.
